At LTCA we are proud to have such an experienced and exciting coaching team. All of our coaches have at least 5 years experience within Cheerleading and Dance and are guaranteed to provide the best all round experience for any athlete. We are able to provide the same level of quality and excitement to the sessions whether it is your first time, or you are a seasoned professional. There is something for everyone! Spearheading the coaching team are the head coaches, Luke Donovan-King and Terrance Shackleton:
Head Coach: Tez Shackleton
- Competitive cheerleader for 7 years and coaching cheer for past 3 years. I started cheer at University where I also became the first ever male to make the Great Britain Bulldogs Cheerleading Team.
- Alongside regional UK competitions I have also competed Internationally 4 times in the following countries: Sweden, Finland, Norway, America. After this year I would have competed in America again and also Germany.
- I have competed in Cheer levels 3-6 across 8 teams and have coached all levels and all age divisions both Co-Ed and All-Girl
- My full time job sees me coaching both regional camps and cheer workshops throughout the UK and International cheer camps in places such as Cyprus and Tenerife.
- I am USASF qualified at level 5 in stunts, tosses and tumbling. NCSSE qualified in all 4 parts. UKCA Qualified at level 3. First Aid Qualified with BCA and Cheer Active.
- I am the regional Director of NCSSE for the UK and an IRD (international regional director) for USASF in the UK.
- In 2013 I was named team co-ordinator for the BCA bid winning Worlds teams and also ICU Worlds teams co-ordinator for SportCheerGB
- As well as co-head coach for LTCA Gladiators I will be Head Coach for the BCA Allstars from April 2013.
Head Coach: Luke Donovan-King
- Competitive Cheerleader for 6 years, I started cheering for Portsmouth Phoenix (University of Portsmouth Cheerleading Squad), where I was made Vice President in my final Year at University.
- Currently competing for Unity Allstars Black, where we placed 6th in the World at the USASF Cheerleading world championships, in Florida. Along the way we have won national and grand championships at UK competitions
- Alongside competing at the USASF World Championships, I have twice competed for the British Cheerleading Association Allstars team at Americheer Internationals, in Florida.
- Have coached a number of teams over the year from Assisting with Portsmouth Phoenix and Portsmouth Warriors, to running cheerleading camps, in association with Tez and the British Cheerleading Association.
- I have choreographed a number of routines that have gone on to place or win National Championships.
- I am also a qualified Trampoline Gymnastics coach and have coached the University of Portsmouth’s Trampolining and Gymnastics club.
- First Aid Qualified
We are also proud to be able to provide an extensive team of Assistants; each member is able to provide a unique viewpoint, enabling us to provide a well rounded service.
