LTCA Gladiator’s Coach on the X Factor Final

This week was a big week for coach Luke who, with cheerleading squad Unity Black, performed live on the X Factor final. Unity Black were asked to perform alongside finalist Nicholas McDonald during his song Candy. Fully choreographed in to the routine, there was a mixture of dance and some high level stunts making their debut on UK television.
Luke performed live in front of 10,000 people at Wembley Arena and to millions of people at home, a big step forward for Cheerleading in the UK!

Training Update June-July
It has been an amazing couple of months so far, with the Juniors working extremely hard to be ready for the competition season! It has been great to be able to welcome so many new people to our junior and senior teams and to be able to provide the opportunity for people to join as Rec athletes and test the waters before they join one of our competition teams.
We have been really impressed by the hard work and dedication the juniors have shown, now working towards their first competition, they are really starting to develop their skills alongside increasing strength and flexibility. Putting up with conditioning every week with very little fuss (much less than I would have made).
Hopefully they will be competing for the first time in November, we believe that they have the potential to do really well and can’t wait to see them on the mat. Alongside the Junior cheer we will be hoping to send a couple of Senior Group stunts to competition, to ensure they stay in peak shape for the competition season ahead.
It has been a period of transition for our Senior team, with many moving home after completing their university degrees and some embarking on long holidays and travelling abroad, so to accommodate this, we will be building more from the ground up. Allowing the summer as a period of group stunt and skill development before work on the cheer begins in September.
Now begins a period of hard work and fundraising to allow us to be in the best position for the year ahead!
We still have spaces on all of our teams so if you would like to join or come along, email us at info@ltcagladiators.com, where we will be able to provide more help
-Luke
